Job summary

SA Recycling LLC in Bakersfield, CA is seeking an experienced Welder to repair and maintain our fleet of trailers and containers, ensuring roadworthiness and DOT compliance. Work will be in the truck shop, performing structural repairs and fabrication as needed.

The role requires MIG, stick, and torch welding skills, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather. Monday–Friday 6:30 am–4:00 pm with alternating Saturdays; pay is $20/hr with benefits and growth

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 1 year welding experience in DOT trailer service/repair preferred.
• 3+ years experience with MIG, stick, and torch welding on various metals.
• Advanced knowledge of welding fabrication tools and techniques.
• Ability to work safely at heights, in tight quarters, and in varying positions.
• Willingness to pass drug screen, physical and background check.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair trailer bodies and components.
• Perform welding to complete repairs per manufacturers, SA Recycling, and DOT guidelines.
• Maintain records of all work per SA Recycling’s policies and DOT requirements.
• Communicate effectively with team in a safe, professional manner.
• Keep a safe, clean, and orderly work area.
• Follow SA Recycling’s safety and environmental procedures.
