Job summary

Rush Truck Centers in Florida is seeking a Trailer Technician to repair or replace damaged parts per factory specs and fit. You will perform MIG welding on aluminum and steel and conduct DOT inspections on semi-trailers while maintaining safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• DOT inspection certification or 1 year experience.
• Certified aluminum and steel welding MIG and TIG or comparable experience.
• Proficiency with related hardware/software systems as needed to execute duties.

Responsibilities

• Repair or replace parts to factory specs.
• Follow safety measures and wear required gear.
• Weld aluminum and steel using MIG.
• Perform DOT inspections on semi-trailers.
• Diagnose simple 12-volt electrical light systems.
• Understand air brake and ABS systems and repairs.
• Fabricate basic metal parts as needed.
• Find root causes of failures and complete repairs.
