Job summary
Schneider National, Inc. in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Trailer Technician to perform routine maintenance, inspections, rebuilds and component replacements on company trailers. This full-time role works Wednesday–Friday and every other weekend, 6:30 p.m.
to 5:00 a.m., on the 1st shift, with duties including tire changes, minor electrical repairs and greasing. Qualifications include a technical degree in welding, electronics, or related systems (or 1 year of trailer technician experience), basic
Qualifications
- Technical degree in welding, electronics, or related systems, or a minimum of 1 year of trailer technician experience.
- Basic welding skills preferred.
- Computer systems and diagnostic software experience.
- Able to provide recommendations regarding maintenance and repair decisions.
- Able to provide own tools within 30 days of hire.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine repairs and preventive maintenance to trailers – like tire changes, minor electrical repairs and greasing.
- Use maintenance software to create and track work orders.
- Communicate status updates with internal customers.
