Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2 years related experience and/or training.
  • Certified aluminum and steel welding MIG or TIG or comparable experience.
  • DOT inspection certified or minimum 1 year working experience.
  • Proficiency with related hardware/software systems as needed.
  • General office skills and knowledge of equipment and systems.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain proficiency of 60% or better, billing a minimum of 4.8 hours per day.
  • Follow safety measures and wear required safety gear.
  • Perform MIG welding on aluminum and steel; DOT inspections on semi-trailers.
  • Diagnose simple 12-volt electrical light systems; understand air brake/ABS systems.
  • Review repair orders and estimator notes before starting work.
  • Document work accurately and timely; communicate with customers.
