Job summary

TEN (Transportation Equipment Network) is seeking a skilled Trailer Technician / Trailer Mechanic to diagnose, maintain, and repair a wide range of trailers. You'll work on dry vans, reefers, flatbeds, and other trailer types while ensuring DOT safety standards are met.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, brake and suspension work, electrical troubleshooting, and welding/fabrication as needed. Growth opportunities and a focus on safety are emphasized in this role.

Qualifications

Experience as a Trailer Technician or Trailer Mechanic, Diesel or Fleet Technician.
Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on trailer repair and maintenance.
Knowledge of brake, suspension, hydraulics, electrical, and DOT requirements.
Ability to use shop tools, diagnostic equipment, and welding/fabrication tools.

Responsibilities

Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and structural issues on trailers.
Perform preventive maintenance and routine trailer servicing.
Repair or replace brake systems, suspensions, axles, landing gear, and wheel-end components.
Troubleshoot and repair lighting systems, wiring, and electrical components.
Complete frame, body, and structural repairs, including welding and fabrication.
Document repairs and maintain accurate work orders in the maintenance system.
