Job summary

Central Transport is seeking skilled mechanics to maintain our fleet of over 2,200 tractors, 8,500 trailers, and 1,700 forklifts across the United States and Canada. We are a trusted, technologically advanced LTL carrier committed to safety and efficiency.

The role offers industry-leading pay starting at $33/hour, company-paid training, medical and dental coverage, PTO, bereavement and jury duty leave, plus uniforms provided.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in vehicle maintenance or related field.
• ASE certification preferred but not required.
• Basic set of tools is needed to perform maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services.
• Repair trailers and related equipment in a timely and efficient manner.
• Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other important parts to ensure working condition.
• Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries and lubricating equipment and machinery.
• Repair damage to containers, trailers, and chassis.
• Repairing tears on the sides of containers.
• Replacing lights.
• Tire repair.
• Landing gear repair.
• Frame repair.
