Job summary

Central Transport is hiring skilled mechanics to service our fleet of tractors, trailers and equipment across the United States and Canada. The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, timely repairs, and safety checks to keep a large network running smoothly.

With 1 year of experience and a basic set of tools, you will perform oil changes, brake inspections, lighting replacements, and frame repairs. ASE certification is preferred but not required; company training modules are provided.

Responsibilities

• Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services
• Repair trailers and related equipment in a timely and efficient manner
• Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper working condition
• Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries and lubricating equipment and machinery
• Repairing damage to containers, trailers, and chassis
• Repairing tears on the sides of containers
• Replacing lights
• Tire repair
• Landing gear repair
• Frame repair
