Job summary
Schneider National, Inc. in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Trailer Technician for full-time work scheduled Wednesday-Friday and every other weekend, from 3:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.
The role involves routine maintenance, inspections, and component replacements on company trailers. Responsibilities include performing repairs, using maintenance software to track work orders, and communicating progress with internal customers.
Qualifications
- Technical degree in welding, electronics, or related systems, or a minimum of 1 year of trailer technician experience.
- Basic welding skills preferred.
- Computer systems and diagnostic software experience.
- Able to provide recommendations regarding maintenance and repair decisions.
- Able to provide own tools within 30 days of hire.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine repairs and preventive maintenance to trailers – like tire changes, minor electrical repairs and greasing.
- Use maintenance software to create and track work orders.
- Communicate status updates with internal customers.
