Job summary

Schneider National, Inc. in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Trailer Technician for full-time hours (Mon-Wed and every other weekend) from 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.

You will perform routine maintenance, inspections, rebuilds and component replacements on company trailers. Responsibilities include routine repairs, preventive maintenance (tires, minor electrical, greasing), using maintenance software to create and track work orders, and communicating status updates with internal customers.

Qualifications

• Technical degree in welding, electronics, or related systems, or a minimum of 1 year of trailer technician experience.
• Basic welding skills preferred.
• Computer systems and diagnostic software experience.
• Able to provide recommendations regarding maintenance and repair decisions.
• Able to provide own tools within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine repairs and preventive maintenance to trailers – like tire changes, minor electrical repairs and greasing.
• Use maintenance software to create and track work orders.
• Communicate status updates with internal customers.
