Job summary

J.B. Hunt is seeking a Trailer Technician to perform basic maintenance and repairs on trailers, containers, and chassis in a maintenance shop in Kansas.

You will follow company standards and safety rules while handling work orders and warranty guidelines. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of semi-trailer maintenance experience, can lift up to 50 pounds, and are willing to work outdoors, with flexibility for nights or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ with 1 year semi-trailer maintenance/repair experience or equivalent.
• Able to supply basic tools or purchase through toolbox program.
• Willingness to work outdoors in the elements.
• Able to work across multiple shifts including nights/weekends.
• Proficient computer skills/ MS Office familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and standard repairs on trailer equipment (air brakes, FHWA inspections).
• Accurately complete work orders and follow SRT and warranty guidelines.
• Maintain shop safety procedures and communicate with personnel and customers.
