Job summary

A-Line is seeking a Trailer Technician in Waterloo, IA to maintain our fleet of flatbed and van trailers. Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, you’ll ensure trailers meet road safety standards and stay in top shape.

The role offers a starting pay of $21-$26 per hour, Monday–Friday 6:45 am–4:30 pm, with opportunities to advance as you gain experience. Benefits include holidays, PTO after 90 days, insurance, and a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• Experience with air brakes, electrical systems and ABS is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on trailers to meet DOT requirements.
• Repair and maintain brakes, electrical systems, suspensions, tires, and more.
• Troubleshoot issues and document repairs.
• Operate the yard truck to maneuver trailers in and out of the shop for repair.
• Perform DOT inspections and repairs on trucks as needed.
• Collaborate with the team to keep operations running smoothly.
