Job summary

XPO is seeking a Technician Specialist in Orlando, FL. The role focuses on trailer inspections, brake replacement, and routine maintenance to support dock operations.

You will gain hands-on experience with FMCSA requirements and work alongside a team of skilled technicians. The position offers health benefits on day one, uniforms, a tool allowance, and growth opportunities within a nationwide logistics provider.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Basic mechanical skills required.
• Basic computer skills for documenting maintenance, service and repair activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with trailer inspections and brake replacement to meet FMCSA 396.19 and 396.25.
• Complete component replacements.
• Perform maintenance, service and repairs on trailer doors and SafeStack Systems to units parked at the dock.
• Work alongside technicians in the shop to complete minor trailer repairs.
• Enter job times and parts on repair orders to track activities.
• Operate specialized tooling and vehicles.
• Ensure the work area is clean, safe, and well-maintained by reporting any damage or negligence to management.
• Interact with operations management and shop management.
