Job summary

XPO Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Technician Specialist in Romulus, MI who will inspect trailers, perform brake work, and complete routine maintenance. You will document activities, operate specialized tools, and work with teammates to ensure timely repairs.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, basic mechanical and computer skills, and a valid driver’s license. Shift variety includes days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or related military experience.
• Prior mechanical training or experience preferred.
• Own a basic set of hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist with trailer inspections and brake replacement to gain FMCSA-related experience.
• Complete component replacements and perform maintenance, service, and repairs.
• Work with shop technicians on minor trailer repairs.
• Enter job times and parts on repair orders to track activities.
• Operate specialized tooling and vehicles and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Coordinate with operations and shop management.
