Prestige Fleet Services in New York is seeking skilled trailer technicians to join our on-site maintenance team. Our mobile and on-site specialists repair and inspect trailers, diagnose brake and electrical issues, and keep fleets on the road with fast, quality service.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years of trailer repair experience.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work extended and irregular hours, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and perform repairs and inspections on trailers.
• Handle brake systems, diagnostics, electrical systems, tires and lift gates.
• Repair damage and welding for major jobs.
• Repair or replace trailer parts such as flooring, rails, landing gear and lift gates.
• Schedule and oversee maintenance procedures including DOT inspections.
• Open and close repair orders on a company-issued device.
• Obtain parts from local vendors and manage inventory on service vehicles.
• Complete DOT forms and other documentation in a timely fashion.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Schedule and overlook all maintenance procedures, including preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.


• Open and Close repair orders on a company-issued device.


• Obtain parts from local vendors and manage inventory on the service vehicles or trailers.


• Accurately complete DOT forms and all other forms of documentation in a timely fashion.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

• Minimum of 5+ years of trailer repair experience.


• Communication skills


• Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours including weekends and holidays when


• Valid Driver's License required.


• Self-motivated with excellent organization and planning skills


• Ability to utilize a computer/tablet for electronic processing of work orders which includes adding labor hoursand updating work order


• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to bend, stoop or crawl.


• Must be able to stand for long periods of time (1-2 hours)


• 2-years' experience in performing annual federal inspections and brake inspections.

Salary information: $28 - $45/hr. - pay is commensurate with experience
