Job summary

Prestige Fleet Services is searching for experienced trailer technicians to perform on-site maintenance and repairs at customer locations. You will handle brake, electrical, and tire systems, manage parts, and ensure timely documentation and compliance.

With 5+ years in trailer repair, you’ll operate on a mobile basis, lift up to 50 lbs, and work extended hours as needed. A valid driver's license and strong organization are essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years of trailer repair experience.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours including weekends and holidays.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Self-motivated with good organization and planning.
• Experience using a computer/tablet for electronic work orders.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
• 2+ years performing federal and brake inspections.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair trailers; perform inspections.
• Handle brakes, electrical systems, tires, and related components.
• Repair or weld major damages; replace trailer parts.
• Schedule and oversee maintenance and DOT inspections.
• Open/close repair orders; obtain parts and manage inventory.
• Accurately complete DOT forms and other documentation.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Maintaining and performing repairs and inspections on trailers.
• Handling brake systems, diagnostics, electrical systems, tires and othercomponents, lift-gates, tires,
• Repairing damage and welding for major jobs
• Repair or replace trailer parts such as flooring, rails, landing gear and lift gates.
• Schedule and overlook all maintenance procedures, including preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.
• Open and Close repair orders on a company-issued device.
• Obtain parts from local vendors and manage inventory on the service vehicles or trailers.
• Accurately complete DOT forms and all other forms of documentation in a timely fashion.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE

• Minimum of 5+ years of trailer repair experience.
• Communication skills
• Ability to work extended and/or irregular hours including weekends and holidays when
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Self-motivated with excellent organization and planning skills
• Ability to utilize a computer/tablet for electronic processing of work orders which includes adding labor hoursand updating work order
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to bend, stoop or crawl.
• Must beable to stand for long periods of time (1-2 hours)
• 2-years' experiencein performing annual federal inspections and brake inspections.

Salary information: $28 - $45/hr. – pay is commensurate with experience
