Job summary

W&B Service Company LLC in Pharr, TX is seeking a Trailer Technician to service and repair semi-trailers. This Full Time Non-Exempt position involves preventative maintenance and repairs to meet DOT standards, with emphasis on safety and reliability.

Duties include brake and drum replacement, electrical and lighting repairs, chassis work, welding, and component replacement. Applicants should have basic mechanical aptitude, own tools, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 60

Qualifications

• Experience preferred but not required.
• Mechanical aptitude or construction experience.
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
• Must have own tools
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, reach, stretch, step, climb, and / or sit frequently throughout the duration of the day
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Attention to detail is key for this position

Responsibilities

• Preventative maintenance and repair all systems on Semi-Trailers to meet the minimum standards set forth by DOT
• Remove and replace brakes, brake drums, hubs, seals, bearings, races and associated parts
• Repair electrical and lighting systems
• Repair or replace chassis components such as springs, spring hangers, equalizers, complete slider assemblies, axles, and sub frames
• Repair mud flap brackets and dolly leg assembles
• Repair or replace flooring, rub rails, doors and door trim
• Repair roofs, panels, nose panels, lower and upper rails
• Welding
• Conform to all safety and health standards

W&B Service Company has an excellent opportunity for a Trailer Technician.We are the largest transport refrigeration dealer of Carrier Transicold, a world leader in Truck, Trailer and rail refrigeration systems. We are also the nation’s largest full service Hyundai Translead trailer dealer. We have 21 facilities throughout the Southwest, including Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana and Oklahoma.
