Job summary

Schneider National, Inc. in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Trailer Technician to perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on company trailers. The role runs Wednesday–Friday and every other weekend with late afternoon to overnight hours.

You will use maintenance software to log work orders, communicate with internal customers, and ensure safe, reliable fleet operations. A technical degree or 1 year trailer tech experience is required, plus basic welding skills and tool ownership within 30

Job overview:

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, rebuilds and component replacements as a Trailer Technician in Atlanta, GA.
• Work on company trailers.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine repairs and preventive maintenance to trailers – like tire changes, minor electrical repairs and greasing.
• Use maintenance software to create and track work orders.
• Communicate status updates with internal customers.

Skills and qualifications:

• Technical degree in welding, electronics, or related systems, or a minimum of 1 year of trailer technician experience.
• Basic welding skills preferred.
• Computer systems and diagnostic software experience.
• Able to provide recommendations regarding maintenance and repair decisions.
• Able to provide own tools within 30 days of hire.
