Job summary

H-E-B Transportation Fleet is seeking a Trailer Technician I to diagnose and repair trailers and support preventative maintenance. You will work with basic tooling, perform light welding, and assist with repairs to lights, brakes, tires, and related systems in a team environment.

Open availability (days, nights, and weekends) is required. You must meet DOT driving record requirements when offered and demonstrate commitment, safety, and customer service in every task.

Qualifications

• Trade school or 1+ years of experience in trailer tech or related field.
• Ability to lift 100 lbs and work in a team environment with availability for all shifts.
• Welding, electrical, and mechanical diagnostic skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in basic to mid-range diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Perform basic repairs, preventive maintenance, and replacements.
• Operate with basic tooling and work in an apprentice-style environment.
• Assist in minor trailer repairs; repairs / replaces lights and interior plywood; adjusts brakes, repairs air leaks, repairs scuff liner.
• Perform basic welding and wheel/tires repairs.
• Conduct safety-sensitive trailer repairs with trainer assistance as needed.

• Performs all safety-sensitive trailer repairs with some degree of Trainer assistance depending on Tech's experience
