Job summary

Pace Transportation Services is seeking a Trailer Technician to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial trailers and components in compliance with safety and manufacturer standards. You will perform preventative maintenance, brake and suspension work, welding, electrical troubleshooting, and other trailer-related repairs while ensuring quality workmanship and safe operations.

Technicians are expected to complete repairs accurately, efficiently, and safely, maintaining documentation

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training a plus.
ASE / OEM certifications preferred but not mandatory.
Knowledge of trailer systems and repair procedures.
Ability to perform brake, suspension, hub, wheel end and structural repairs.
Able to read and follow repair procedures and work instructions.
Welding and fabrication experience preferred.
Capable of working independently with limited supervision.
Strong organizational and time management skills; adapt to a fast-paced shop.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance inspections and trailer repairs.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, suspension, and brake issues.
Repair and replace components including brakes, wheel seals, bearings, and lighting.
Weld and fabricate repairs as needed; follow safety procedures.
Complete repair orders and documentation accurately.
Maintain clean, organized work area and communicate findings to leadership.
Meet productivity, efficiency, and quality targets set by the company.
Stay updated on industry trends and repair techniques.
