Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a Trailer and SRI Repair Specialist in Coralville, IA to maintain our latest fleet of trailers and Ford/GMC trucks. You will use proprietary tools and be part of a team that keeps customers on the move.

The role emphasizes hands-on repair, tire/brake maintenance, and adherence to safety protocols. A driver’s license and basic computer skills are required, with a focus on teamwork and dependability.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of repair experience preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude is required.
• Driver’s license.
• Ability to work in a team as well as independently.
• Basic computer skills.
• Regular attendance is expected.

Responsibilities

• Secure trailers on lifts and dollies.
• Perform tire and brake maintenance.
• Rebuild and repair braking systems and trailer components.
• Dismount, balance and mount tires.
• Occasionally road-test vehicles.
• Work on a production line.
• Follow proprietary pre-inspection and repair checklist.
• Lend assistance in additional areas as directed by supervisor.
