U‑Haul is seeking skilled technicians in Brunswick, ME to keep our latest trailer and truck fleet in top condition. You will perform tire and brake maintenance, repair braking systems, and service trailer components on-site using U‑Haul’s proprietary tools.

You’ll grow through our Technician Training Program with Ford and GMC classes, plus a tool purchase program. The team is known for its longevity and family atmosphere, with benefits, paid holidays, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of repair experience preferred.
• Driver's license required.
• Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
• Basic computer skills and regular attendance.

Responsibilities

• Secure trailers on lifts and dollies.
• Perform tire and brake maintenance.
• Rebuild and repair braking systems and trailer components.
• Dismount, balance and mount tires.
• Occasionally road-test vehicles.
• Work on a production line.
• Use proprietary electronic pre-inspection and repair checklist.
• Lend assistance in additional areas as necessary under supervision.

Physical Demands

The work requires some physical exertion, such as long periods both indoors and outdoors while remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted.
