Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience: 1 to 5+ years of hands-on mechanical experience on heavy duty trailers or trucks.

Responsibilities

• Preventative maintenance: safety checks, scheduled maintenance, and lubing on brakes, suspension, axles, and landing gear systems.
• Diagnostics & Repair: Troubleshoot and repair electrical wiring, lighting, ABS brakes, air lines, and hydraulic components.
• Structural & Body Work: Repair or replace damaged flooring, rails, aluminum body panels, roofs, and doors using welding/cutting equipment.
• Compliance & Safety: Conduct DOT inspections and document findings and repairs.
• Shop cleanliness: Maintain a safe, clean, organized workspace per OSHA guidelines.
