Job summary

Big Tex Trailer World is seeking a Service Technician 2 to maintain the service area, perform repairs, and assist customers with trailers and related equipment. You will weld, inspect, and install parts, while quoting services and selling parts to meet customer needs.

The role requires welding skills, customer service acumen, and the ability to read work orders. Monday–Saturday availability and overtime as needed are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or trade diploma preferred.
• Welding experience with MIG and oxy-acetylene tools.
• Ability to read and follow work orders and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform service, repair, and installation on trailers, truck beds, tow vehicles, and snowplows.
• Sell parts and services; maintain parts inventory and shop supplies.
• Conduct multi-point inspections and document work performed.
• Provide accurate quotes, discuss repairs with customers, and schedule work.
• Weld and fabricate as needed; assist in parts and equipment maintenance.
• Ensure safety and organization of service area; complete paperwork promptly.
