Job summary

Matalco Lordstown in Warren, Ohio is seeking a Trailer Repair Technician to perform preventive and reactive maintenance on trailers and trucks. The role requires independent work and coordination with vendors to ensure quick turnaround and uptime.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and prior maintenance experience; preferred are certifications/associates in maintenance or technology, and DOT inspection training. Strong safety practices are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–5 years maintenance experience repairing truck/trailers.
• Certification or associate’s in maintenance or technology is preferred.
• Certified or journeyman electrician preferred.
• DOT Annual Inspection Training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a fully integrated preventive maintenance system for trailers/trucks.
• Modify or change equipment with proper approval and documentation.
• Develop and maintain a spare parts warehouse for common consumables.
• Perform all PMs to ensure proper service life and DOT inspections.
• Be the point of contact for truck/trailer repairs and coordinate with vendors.
