Job summary

Schneider National, Inc. is seeking a Trailer Technician in Columbus, OH to perform routine maintenance, inspections, rebuilds and component replacements on company trailers. This full-time, 1st shift role runs Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.

to 5:00 p.m. You will use maintenance software to create and track work orders, communicate status updates with internal customers, and recommend maintenance decisions.

Qualifications

• Technical degree in welding, electronics, or related systems, or minimum 1 year of trailer technician experience.
• Basic welding skills preferred.
• Computer systems and diagnostic software experience.
• Able to provide recommendations regarding maintenance and repair decisions.
• Able to provide own tools within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine repairs and preventive maintenance to trailers – like tire changes, minor electrical repairs and greasing.
• Use maintenance software to create and track work orders.
• Communicate status updates with internal customers.
