Job summary

Wabash is seeking a Quality Inspector to perform thorough trailer inspections, compare against criteria and sales orders, and record defects on iPad and Traveler. You will escalate repeat defects to Supervisor and QA when needed, using control plans to support quality manufacturing and proper paperwork retention with serial numbers recorded in the system.

The role requires basic reading/writing, ability to read a tape measure, good attendance, and the potential for prior inspection experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to read a tape measure is required.
• Prior inspection experience is a plus.
• Ability to interpret sales orders and drawings is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Ensure inspections meet workmanship standards and report results.
• Provide accurate inspection data.
• Ensure trailer conformance to DOT and FMVSS requirements and document inspections.
• Identify damages, discrepancies, and missing parts during trailer inspection.
• Attend and participate in inspector rounds and training sessions.
