The Trailer Specialist is seeking a dependable Lot Technician to maintain outdoor trailer inventory and dealership property. You will assemble trailers, conduct inspections, and keep the lot organized while supporting sales and service teams.

Responsibilities

• Assemble new trailers from factory deliveries.
• Perform pre-delivery and basic safety inspections.
• Wash, clean and detail trailers for display and delivery.
• Keep lot, yard and work areas clean and organized.
• Unload trailers and assist inventory placement.
• Move trailers safely around the property and check lights, tires, brakes, and couplers.
• Install minor accessories as needed and assist with setup of sold trailers.
• Support sales and service with daily operations and follow safety guidelines.

About the Role:

We are a small, high-volume trailer dealership that takes pride in keeping our inventory sharp, safe, and customer ready. Our team works hard, stays busy, and maintains a low-pressure, customer-friendly environment.

We're looking for a dependable, hands-on Lot Technician who enjoys working outdoors and staying active while helping keep our dealership and trailer inventory in great shape.

Position Summary

The Trailer Prep & Lot Technician is responsible for helping maintain the appearance, safety, and organization of our trailer inventory and dealership property. This role includes trailer assembly, inspections, lot upkeep, washing units, unloading inventory, and general support for the sales and service departments.

Schedule:

• Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• One Saturday per month required
• Additional weekend availability may be needed based on business needs

Hourly Pay:

• $21.00-$25.00 / hr.
• $24.00 - $27.00/hr. for candidates with Class A license and relevant experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble new trailers delivered from the factory
• Perform pre-delivery inspections and basic safety inspections
• Wash, clean, and detail trailers for display and customer delivery
• Keep the sales lot, yard, and work areas clean and organized
• Unload incoming trailers and assist with inventory placement
• Move trailers around the property safely and efficiently
• Check trailer lights, tires, brakes, couplers, jacks, and other basic components
• Install minor accessories or parts as needed
• Assist with setting up sold trailers for customer pickup
• Help maintain an attractive and organized lot appearance
• Support the sales and service departments with daily operational needs
• Follow all company safety procedures and equipment handling guidelines

Qualifications:

• Prior trailer, automotive, RV, or equipment experience is a plus, but not required
• Mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic hand tools
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, move trailers safely, and work around heavy equipment
• Comfortable towing, backing, and maneuvering trailers (or willing to learn)
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Positive attitude and willingness to help wherever needed
• Must be dependable and show up ready to work
• Valid driver's license required
• Forklift or trailer towing experience is a plus
