Job summary

American Transportation Services has immediate openings for an entry level trailer mechanic. Training will cover maintaining and repairing large dry van trailers, with opportunities to develop a high-demand skill set nationwide.

Selected candidates will undergo daily training, receive quarterly reviews with incremental rate increases, and enjoy a stable work environment with flexible shift options to fit individual needs.

Qualifications

• Entry-level position requiring mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Must be over 18 years of age and able to work full-time shifts.
• No formal degree required; on-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist in inspecting and repairing commercial trailers (dry van).
• Learn to diagnose and repair air brake systems and ABS.
• Participate in training on diagnostic and maintenance software.
• Complete required inspections and support maintenance tasks.

Job description

American Transportation Services has immediate openings for entry level trailer mechanic. Interested candidates should possess mechanical aptitude, a strong work ethic, and willingness to learn. Selected candidates will receive daily training on maintaining and repairing large dry van trailers, allowing you to develop a skill that is in very high demand across the nation. Successful employees will receive quarterly reviews with incremental rate increases based on personal development. Entry level qualifications:Must be over 18 years of age, ability to work a full-time shift.

Requirements

• Training will Include but not limited to:
• Completing FAI and State required inspections.
• Inspect and repair “S” cam air brake systems.
• Diagnose and repair anti-lock brake systems.
• Performing a variety of repairs to commercial trailers in all potential aspects.
• Training on the latest diagnostic and maintenance invoicing software.
• Must be able to pass a background check
