Job summary

UPS is hiring a Trailer Mechanic in the Atlanta area to perform preventative maintenance on transportation trailers and converter dollies. You will diagnose and repair non-power equipment, including air brake and electrical systems, while meeting DOT requirements and safety standards.

The role requires tool ownership and the ability to lift heavy items. We offer weekly pay, training, benefits, and a comprehensive compensation package.

Qualifications

• Current documented trailer mechanic experience.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools and personal computer.
• Possess a full complement of personal hand tools.
• PITO certified (Power Industrial Truck Operations) is required by the role.

Responsibilities

• Meet D.O.T requirements.
• Perform preventative maintenance on UPS trailers and converter dollies.
• Diagnose and repair non-power equipment including air brake and electrical systems.
• Operate standard/manual transmission and power tools.
• Wear required personal protective equipment and work in variable conditions.
• Lift up to 70 pounds and assist with packages up to 150 pounds.
