Job summary

RSS Trailer Repair in Grand Rapids, MI seeks an experienced Trailer Mechanic or Diesel Mechanic to diagnose and repair semi-trailer systems. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, safety-minded, and able to work independently while communicating effectively with customers and co-workers.

This shop position offers $25-$30/hour, quarterly bonus after 90 days, Monday-Friday days, paid holidays, 401K after a year, bi-weekly pay, overtime after 40 hours, boot allowance after 90 days, and

Qualifications

• Must be an experienced Trailer Mechanic or Diesel Mechanic.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to pass a physical and drug screen.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and diagnose malfunctions on all trailer systems.
• Troubleshoot, repair and replace defective components.
• Perform regular check-ups and preventative maintenance on trailers and parts, including ABS, air brakes, frame, body, suspension and electrical systems.
• Coordinate with other staff to receive, execute and bill work in a timely & proper manner.
• Help maintain positive working relationships with current customers.
