Job summary

XPO is seeking a Trailer Mechanic to perform routine maintenance on trailing equipment, inspect and repair systems, and ensure compliance with DOT, EPA, OSHA regulations. You will move trailers on site and log work details while supporting a safe, productive shop environment.

The role requires 1 year of heavy-duty maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 1 year of verifiable experience in heavy-duty maintenance or entry-level technician role.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to perform safety inspections and document safety procedures.
• Basic computer skills.
• Willing to work varied shifts including nights and weekends.
• Brake inspection qualifications per FMCSA 369.25.
• Vehicle inspection qualifications per FMCSA 369.19.
• Basic hand tools required for heavy-duty trailer maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on trailer equipment according to manufacturer, DOT, and company schedules.
• Inspect and access equipment to perform maintenance on all trailers.
• Repair or rebuild equipment systems as needed.
• Follow DOT, EPA, OSHA, and regulatory rules; maintain safety and cleanliness.
• Maintain proficiency with equipment and technologies to boost productivity.
• Move trailers on site and operate a hostler in all weather conditions.
• Enter job times and parts on repair orders to track activity.
• Operate specialized tooling and vehicles.
