Job summary

XPO is seeking a Trailer Mechanic for a day shift to perform routine and preventive maintenance on trailers and related equipment. You will inspect and service components, document work orders, and ensure compliance with DOT, EPA, OSHA, and company policies.

The role requires steady hands, tool proficiency, and the ability to work across multiple stations while maintaining safety. XPO offers uniforms, a tool/education allowance, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in heavy-duty maintenance or entry-level technician role.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to perform safety inspections and document results.
• Basic computer skills.
• Willingness to work various shifts (days/evenings/nights/weekends).
• Brake inspection qualifications per FMCSA 369.25.
• Vehicle inspection qualifications per FMCSA 369.19.
• Must have basic hand tools for trailer maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on trailers and related equipment.
• Inspect, access, and work on equipment in/under trailers.
• Repair or rebuild systems as needed.
• Follow DOT, EPA, OSHA and company regulations.
• Maintain proficiency with equipment and tech to improve productivity.
• Move trailers on site and operate hostler in all weather conditions.
• Record job times and parts used on repair orders.
• Use specialized tooling and equipment; keep area safe and organized.
