McLane Co. in Illinois is seeking a Mechanic II to perform comprehensive trailer and refrigeration maintenance in our shop. You will conduct both simple and complex repairs, diagnose diesel engines, and perform alignments, with duties spanning from preventative maintenance to on-call road calls.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, diesel/refrigeration training, ASE PMI certification, and a valid Class C license. We offer competitive pay and full benefits supported from day one.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Trade school in heavy duty diesel repairs and/or refrigeration preferred.
• Valid Class C driver's license; Class A preferred.
• ASE PMI (Test T8) certification or ability to obtain within 1 year.

Responsabilidades

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on trailer refrigeration.
• Diagnose, remove, repair, replace or rebuild components (clutches, water pumps, tires, suspensions, drive lines, transmissions, brakes).
• Diagnose and tune up or repair diesel engines and perform front wheel and trailer axle alignments.
• Troubleshoot cooling systems and conduct diagnostic tests.
• Cut or weld with cutting torch and welding machine; read service bulletins and manuals; maintain tools.
