Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Flexibility to work nights and weekends.
• Candidate must provide basic hand tools by end of training (60–90 days).

Responsibilities

• Reads job order and trailer operation to diagnose and plan repairs.
• Observes equipment to diagnose malfunctions and determine repairs.
• Lifts vehicles to access mechanical units.
• Dismantles machine to inspect parts for defects.
• Inspects safety devices, tightens bolts, and makes adjustments.
• Replaces defective parts or repairs components as needed.
• Relines and adjusts brakes and front-end alignment; repairs shocks.
• Assembles and tests machine after repairs.
• Fabricates lifting or towing attachments per drawings.
• Maintains and lubricates tools and equipment.
• Performs routine preventative maintenance and DOT inspections.
• Cleans tools and work area.
