Job summary

Prime Inc. is seeking a diesel/tractor mechanic in Chicago, offering comprehensive training to become an elite mechanic. You’ll diagnose and repair truck components, perform DOT brake inspections, and handle wiring schematics in a state-of-the-art facility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must be able to pass a job-specific post-offer physical and train to Elite mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical failures and repair truck components per manuals and specs.
• Inspect parts for damage and determine repair or replacement needs.
• Perform DOT brake inspections and adjustments.
• Inspect and repair advanced safety systems.
• Remove transmissions and clutches using hoists and tools with safety protocols.
• Read and understand wiring schematics.
