Job summary

XPO is seeking a Trailer Mechanic in Minnesota to perform routine maintenance and inspections on trailing equipment, comply with DOT and company schedules, and repair or rebuild components as needed.

The role requires lifting up to 50–75 lbs, working outdoors in all conditions, and collaboration with operations. Eligible candidates enjoy full benefits from day one and a competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• 1 year of verifiable experience in heavy-duty maintenance or entry-level Technician role.
• A valid driver’s license and ability to perform safety documentation.
• DOT and company schedules must be followed; basic computer skills expected.
• Able to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, nights and weekends.
• Brake inspection and vehicle inspection qualifications per FMCSA regulations.
• Have basic hand tools required for heavy-duty trailer maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on trailing equipment in compliance with schedules.
• Inspect equipment in accessible areas and perform necessary repairs or rebuilds.
• Adhere to DOT, EPA, OSHA and other safety regulations.
• Maintain proficiency with equipment and technologies to boost productivity.
• Move trailers and operate a hostler in all weather conditions; record job times and parts.
• Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized; interact with operations and shop management.
