Job summary

Central Transport seeks a skilled fleet mechanic to maintain and repair trailers and tractors across our nationwide network. You will perform preventive maintenance, inspect critical systems, and complete routine servicing to keep our fleet safe and reliable.

The position requires at least 1 year of experience and a basic tool set; ASE certification is preferred but not required. We offer company-paid training, competitive pay starting at $32/hour, medical benefits, PTO, and uniform provisions

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience.
• ASE certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services.
• Repair trailers and related equipment in a timely and efficient manner.
• Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other important parts to ensure that they are in proper working condition.
• Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries and lubricating equipment and machinery.
• Responsible for repairing damage to containers, trailers, and chassis.
• Repairing tears on the sides of containers.
• Replacing lights.
• Tire repair.
• Landing gear repair.
• Frame repair.
