GFL Environmental Inc. in Holland, MI is seeking a Trailer Mechanic to maintain and repair trailers and heavy equipment, ensuring safe operation and regulatory compliance. You will perform wiring, brakes, and welding as needed, while documenting parts usage and repair times.

Formación

• 3 to 5 years of trailer maintenance and repair experience.
• Practical experience with trailer electrical systems and wiring; welding is a plus.
• Ownership of personal tools suitable for the position.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to work 40–50 hours per week, including overtime and occasional Saturdays.

Responsabilidades

• Perform repairs on trailers, including wiring, brakes, wheel seals, electrical systems, ABS issues and welding as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrication, tune-ups, filter replacements, tire rotations, and minor adjustments.
• Complete required paperwork, document parts usage, and track repair times.
• Conduct safety inspections to identify deterioration for replacement or repair.
• Maintain accurate, updated preventive maintenance records.
• Assist other mechanics with repairs and projects as assigned by the supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with OSHA standards.
