Quality Carriers in Florence, VT is seeking an experienced Trailer Mechanic to diagnose, repair and perform preventative maintenance on semi-truck tractors and trailers. Work is performed from a service truck, following DOT, federal and state regulations and company standards.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience with diesel engines, air and electrical systems
• 1 year experience with tractor/trailer maintenance and DOT regulations
• Ability to work from a service truck and adhere to safety policies

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair tractors and trailers
• Perform annual/90-day inspections on equipment
• Ensure equipment meets Federal FHWA standards
• Move trailers within yard using yard hostler
• Identify parts and supplies as needed
• Maintain safe and clean work environment
• Perform welding and basic repairs
