DST Trailer Mechanic Trainee D shift (Springdale, LH Garage)
Truck preventive maintenance technician will work cross-functionally across multiple areas of the garage, responsibilities include but are not limited to performing routine preventive maintenance repairs on trucks, performing emergency mechanical or electrical failures. Ability to diagnose and repair our truck engine and systems with our diagnostic programs. Abilities to perform minor structural welding and cutting task. Ability to safely apply knowledge and troubleshooting skills to all assigned equipment and the ability to effectively communicate with all transportation personnel including managers, drivers, and clerks. Must be able to read and interpret instructions, manuals, and schematics. Along with basic math skills are necessary to perform these tasks at a satisfactory level. Basic computer skills will be necessary to document information, process daily work orders, and complete required documentation. Truck tech may be required to perform service calls on equipment at remote locations; a current valid driver’s license is required.
