Job summary

Kraft Tank Corporation in Texas seeks a qualified Service Technician to maintain and repair trailer systems. You will work in a fast-paced shop, performing preventive maintenance and on-site repairs with a focus on safety and quality.

The role requires hands-on experience in trailer repair, strong time management, and the ability to work both independently and in a team. A valid driver’s license and relevant automotive experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in automotive or trucking repairs.
• Proven trailer repair experience.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a hostler in the yard.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Carry out assigned jobs based on established processes or as directed by the Service Manager.
• Install mud flaps for service customers.
• Diagnose and repair trailer light systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and equipment check-ins.
• Replace gaskets, dome lids, butterfly valves, and API heads.
• Service brakes and brake chambers.
• Report discrepancies or modifications to the Repair Order immediately to Service Manager and Service Advisors.
• Maintain a clean working environment by cleaning the bay after each job, returning extra parts to the warehouse, and disposing of excess materials.
• Adhere to safety protocols and complete all tasks in compliance with company requirements.
• Take on additional responsibilities as directed by the Shop Foreman and Shop Manager.

Position Responsibilities

Your initial job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven experience performing trailer repair work proficiently.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• A valid driver’s license to operate a hostler in the yard.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of two years of experience in the automotive and/or trucking repairs industry.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, climb and sit for extended periods of time in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to lift up to 75lbs.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in written and verbal skills with customers, management, and team members.
• Travel as needed to other Company locations by vehicle, plane, or train.
