Job summary

Kraft Tank Corporation is seeking a Service Technician to join our team. You will perform trailer repairs, maintenance, and diagnostics, working within established processes under the Service Manager. Expect a dynamic, safety-focused environment with ongoing training and support.

You will install components, diagnose issues, and ensure high standards of service across multiple locations. Candidates should have prior trailer repair experience and a valid hostler license, with a minimum of two

Qualifications

• Proven experience performing trailer repair work.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• A valid driver’s license to operate a hostler in the yard.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of experience in the automotive and/or trucking repairs industry.

Responsibilities

• Carry out assigned jobs based on established processes or as directed by the Service Manager.
• Installing mud flaps for service customers.
• Diagnosing and repairing trailer light systems.
• Performing preventative maintenance and equipment check-ins.
• Replacing gaskets, dome lids, butterfly valves, and API heads.
• Conducting services on brakes and brake chambers.
• Report any discrepancies to the Service Manager and Service Advisors.
• Maintain a clean working environment by cleaning the bay after each job and returning excess parts to the warehouse.
• Adhere to safety protocols and company requirements.
• Take on additional responsibilities as directed by leadership.

Position Responsibilities

Your initial job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Carry out assigned jobs based on established processes or as directed by the Service Manager.
• Installing mud flaps for service customers.
• Diagnosing and repairing trailer light systems.
• Preforming preventative maintenance and equipment check-ins.
• Replacing gaskets, dome lids, butterfly valves, and API heads.
• Conducting services on brakes and brake chambers.
• Report any discrepancies or modifications to the Repair Order immediately to Service Manager and Service Advisors.
• Maintain a clean working environment by cleaning the bay after each job, returning extra parts to the warehouse, and disposing of excess materials.
• Adhere to safety protocols and complete all tasks in compliance with company requirements.
• Take on additional responsibilities as directed by the Shop Foreman and Shop Manager.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of two years of experience in the automotive and/or trucking repairs industry.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, climb and sit for extended periods of time in a warehouse environment.
• Ability to lift up to 75lbs.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in written and verbal skills with customers, management, and team members.
• Travel as needed to other Company locations by vehicle, plane, or train.
