Job summary

EmployBridge is seeking a Trailer Mechanic in Amarillo, TX. The role includes diagnosing and repairing trailer and dolly systems, from ABS to air brake components, along with welding and metal work.

You will operate a forklift, follow tool instructions, and document daily work orders. Candidates should have their own tools and be able to lift 50 lbs on a full shift, with willingness to work Monday through Friday and some Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing trailer systems.
• ABS diagnostics and air brake system knowledge a plus.
• Ability to operate a forklift and use standard tools.
• Must have own tools for the job.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and endure a physically demanding shift.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair trailer and dolly systems, including ABS and wiring.
• Operate a forklift to move parts and finished trailers.
• Follow operating instructions for tools and equipment.
• Weld and repair metal components as needed.
• Prepare and file concise daily work orders.

Job Duties:

• Ability to diagnose and repair various systems associated with trailer and dolly repair to include but not limited to: ABS diagnostics, roll doors, body repair, accident repair, air brake system inspection and repair, electrical system diagnosis and repair.
• Operate a forklift.
• Understand and follow operating instructions for various tools and equipment
• Ability to use welding skills and knowledge of metals to complete trailer repairs.
• Ability to write concise work orders that mirror work performed daily.Job
