Job summary

ResourceMFG in Amarillo, TX is seeking a Bodyman/Wreck Mechanic. The role involves collision repair, welding, and diagnosing trailer systems. You will operate a forklift and follow work orders to complete daily repairs.

The ideal candidate can lift 50 lbs, work in a hot/dusty environment, and bring your own tools to the job. Schedule is Monday–Friday with one Saturday per month, 8am–5pm, pay $18–$28/hr depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Experience in collision repair and metal work.
• Welding skills and diagnostic abilities are required.

Responsibilities

• Repair trailers/cargo bodies following work orders.
• Diagnose and repair ABS, air brakes, electrical systems as needed.
• Operate a forklift to move parts and equipment.
• Write concise work orders reflecting daily tasks.

8am- 5pmPay- $18-28/hr Depending upon experience (Level I, II or III)

Job Duties

• Collision Repair experience required
• Ability to use welding skills and knowledge of metals to complete trailer repairs.Ability to diagnose and repair various systems associated with trailer and dolly repair to include but not limited to: ABS diagnostics, roll doors, body repair, accident repair, air brake system inspection and repair, electrical system diagnosis and repair.
• Operate a forklift.
• Understand and follow operating instructions for various tools and equipment
• Ability to write concise work orders that mirror work performed daily

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, reach, stretch, step, climb and/or sit frequently or through the duration of the shift.
• Ability to work in the environment, hot, cold, dusty.
• Lock Out Tag Out, etc.
• Follow all SOPs.
• Ability to wear all needed PPE throughout work shift.
• Must have his/her own tools.
