Job summary

Employbridge is seeking a Trailer Technician in Amarillo, TX for a Monday–Friday schedule with potential Saturdays, 8am–5pm. Starting pay is $18 per hour with increases based on experience (Level I, II or III).

The role involves diagnosing and repairing trailer and dolly systems, operating a forklift, welding, and writing concise work orders. Safety PPE is required, and tools must be provided by the employee.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing trailer/dolly systems.
• Forklift operation experience.
• Welding skills and metalworking knowledge.
• Ability to write concise work orders reflecting daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair trailer/dolly systems (ABS diagnostics, doors, body, accidents, air brake, electrical).
• Operate a forklift and follow tool instructions.
• Perform welding to complete trailer repairs and metal work.
• Prepare concise daily work orders reflecting performed tasks.

Job Duties:

• Ability to diagnose and repair various systems associated with trailer and dolly repair to include but not limited to: ABS diagnostics, roll doors, body repair, accident repair, air brake system inspection and repair, electrical system diagnosis and repair.
• Operate a forklift. Understand and follow operating instructions for various tools and equipment
• Ability to use welding skills and knowledge of metals to complete trailer repairs.
• Ability to write concise work orders that mirror work performed daily.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, reach, stretch, step, climb and/or sit frequently or through the duration of the shift
• Ability to work in the environment, hot, cold, dusty
• Follow all SOP's
• Ability to wear all needed PPE throughout work shift
• Must have his/her own tools
