Job Responsibilities and Requirements

Perform a variety of functions on fleet equipment following company policies, federal, state, and local regulations, repair manuals, factory specifications, schematics, and personal knowledge of fleet equipment.

The responsibilities listed are not exhaustive; additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Available positions: Trailer Maintenance Technician Class A, B, or C. The offered position depends on the candidate's qualifications and experience.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Be at least 20 years old.
2. Possess a valid driver’s license and authorization to drive a company vehicle by the start date.
3. Available to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended periods.
4. Capable of lifting at least 65 pounds.
5. Able to read and interpret technical manuals.
6. Proficient in reading, writing, and math problem-solving.
7. Successfully complete required tests before starting: Basic Office Skills, Following Written Instructions, Spatial Reasoning, Mechanical Reasoning.
8. Ability to interpret, understand, and follow instructions.
9. Capable of using a computerized maintenance management system.
10. Maintain and supply necessary hand tools for daily duties.
11. Work well with others and be a team player.

Additional Requirements for Current Greensboro Distribution Associates

1. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
2. At least two years of experience in trailer repair or a related trade.
3. Mechanical and diagnostic knowledge of fleet trailer equipment, including circuits and operational sequences.
4. Knowledge of ARC, MIG, and GAS welding and cutting, including welding aluminum and steel.
5. Basic understanding of trailer parts and components.
