Job summary

Publix Super Markets is hiring for a Trailer Maintenance Technician position (Class A, B or C) in Boynton Beach, FL. Responsibilities include performing functions on a variety of fleet equipment per policy, regulations, and manuals.

The role requires driving ability, CMMS usage, and the capacity to lift 65 pounds, with weekend/holiday availability. The position is part of the Distribution department under Maintenance & Equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 20 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and authorization to drive company vehicle.
• Able to read, write and solve math problems.
• Capable of lifting at least 65 pounds.
• Able to work weekends and holidays.
• Experience with a computerized maintenance-management system (CMMS).
• Two years’ experience in trailer repair or related trade is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current Boynton Beach Distribution associate


• Be able to read and interpret technical manuals


• Be able to work independently with little or no supervision


• Have at least two years’ experience in trailer repair or a related trade


• Have mechanical and diagnostic knowledge of fleet trailer equipment, as well as knowledge of circuits and operational sequence of components


• Knowledge of ARC, MIG, and GAS welding and cutting including welding aluminum and steel


• Basic knowledge of parts and components of trailers

Year End Bonus

To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.
