Ecore International is seeking a Trailer Maintenance Technician for the 1st shift (Mon-Fri) to inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair trailers and perform light truck maintenance. You will help keep fleet equipment safe and compliant while maximizing uptime.

The ideal candidate brings experience with trailer systems, DOT inspections, and the ability to work independently with their own tools. Earn a $500 annual tool reimbursement and join a company focused on sustainability and growth.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

1st shift Mon- Friday


The Trailer Maintenance Technician is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing trailers and performing light maintenance on trucks. This role ensures fleet equipment remains safe, compliant, and operational while minimizing downtime.


The ideal candidate will have experience with trailer systems including brakes, suspension, tires, electrical components, and general structural repairs.


Candidates must bring their own basic mechanic's tools and are eligible for a $500 annual tool reimbursement



  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fleet trailers

  • Inspect and service brakes, axles, suspensions, lights, and structural components

  • Conduct DOT inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues

  • Repair or replace tires, wheel hubs, landing gear, doors, and other trailer components

  • Perform light maintenance and repairs on trucks as needed

  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively

  • Maintain accurate electronic repair and maintenance records

  • Communicate repair status and maintenance needs with fleet managers, drivers, and team members

  • Support preventative maintenance programs to maximize fleet reliability

  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures


Qualifications

Required


  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Minimum 3 years of trailer mechanic or related maintenance experience

  • Current DOT Certified Inspector

  • Knowledge of trailer braking systems, suspensions, and electrical systems

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair documentation

  • Valid driver's license

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Must provide own tools


Preferred


  • Welding and fabrication experience

  • CDL license

  • Experience working in a fleet maintenance environment


Physical Requirements


  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds

  • Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, and working around heavy equipment

  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions

  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced maintenance environment
