Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the maintenance team daily.
  • Coordinate maintenance work activities and prioritize repair requests.
  • Serve as primary contact for maintenance issues during shifts.
  • Communicate equipment concerns to management and staff.
  • Act as liaison between Maintenance, Production, Shipping and Sales.
  • Report shift activities and updates to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Step into a supervisory role when needed.
  • Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical and electrical production equipment.
  • Assist in diagnosing equipment failures and implementing corrective actions.
  • Support preventive maintenance programs and scheduled PMs.
  • Help ensure equipment reliability to meet manufacturing goals.
  • Identify and source replacement parts and maintenance supplies.
  • Coordinate with purchasing to order materials.
  • Support spare parts inventory management.
  • Promote safe work practices and ensure adherence to policies.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.

Maintenance Lead
Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Lead to support and oversee maintenance operations within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical and electrical production equipment while providing day-to-day leadership and support to the maintenance team.

The Maintenance Lead serves as a key resource for maintenance personnel, production teams, and other departments to ensure equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and maintain a safe, productive work environment. This position may also assume supervisory responsibilities during the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor or during off-shift operations.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Support
  • Provide daily guidance and support to maintenance team members.
  • Coordinate maintenance work activities and prioritize repair requests.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for maintenance-related issues during assigned shifts.
  • Communicate equipment concerns and operational issues to management and maintenance staff.
  • Act as a liaison between Maintenance, Production, Shipping, and Sales departments.
  • Report shift activities, issues, and updates to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Step into a supervisory role when needed.
Equipment Maintenance & Reliability
  • Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical and electrical production equipment.

  • Support preventive maintenance (PM) programs and planned maintenance schedules.
  • Help ensure production equipment is operating efficiently to meet manufacturing goals.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to maintenance technicians.
Parts & Inventory Management
  • Assist in identifying and sourcing replacement parts and maintenance supplies.
  • Coordinate with purchasing personnel to order required materials.
  • Support the management and maintenance of spare parts inventory.
  • Work to minimize production downtime through proactive planning.
Safety & Quality
  • Promote and enforce safe work practices and company safety policies.
  • Ensure employees follow proper machine operation and forklift procedures.
  • Assist in conducting routine safety meetings.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
  • Support quality standards by ensuring maintenance work is completed accurately and effectively.
Qualifications
Required
  • Minimum EM1 level experience, with EM2-level experience preferred.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Experience working with industrial machinery, equipment, and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to coordinate personnel and resources to meet production objectives.
