Job summary

Ecore International is hiring a skilled trailer mechanic to maintain and repair fleet trailers at our York, PA location. You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, service brakes and suspensions, and keep electronic maintenance records to support fleet reliability.

We require a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years of trailer maintenance, and a valid DOT inspector credential; CDL is a plus. Tools you bring are welcomed, with a $500 tool reimbursement and opportunities for development.

Qualifications

• Current DOT Certified Inspector.
• Knowledge of trailer braking systems, suspensions, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics and repair docs.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Must provide own tools.
• CDL license preferred.
• Experience in fleet maintenance environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fleet trailers.
• Inspect and service brakes, axles, suspensions, lights, and structural components.
• Conduct DOT inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
• Repair or replace tires, wheel hubs, landing gear, doors, and other trailer components.
• Perform light maintenance and repairs on trucks as needed.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain accurate electronic repair and maintenance records.
• Communicate repair status and maintenance needs with fleet managers, drivers, and team members.
• Support preventative maintenance programs to maximize fleet reliability.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fleet trailers

Candidates must bring their own basic mechanic's tools and are eligible for a $500 annual tool reimbursement

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 3 years of trailer mechanic or related maintenance experience
• Current DOT Certified Inspector
• Knowledge of trailer braking systems, suspensions, and electrical systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and repair documentation
• Valid driver's license
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Must provide own tools
• Preferred Welding and fabrication experience
• CDL license
• Experience working in a fleet maintenance environment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, and working around heavy equipment
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced maintenance environment
